The “Marian” dress
The Marian dress is such a beautiful combination of ex-designer deadstock rosewood silk velvet and Liberty silk satin, both incredibly luminous with the most vivid sheen. The Liberty silk satin is in a stunning “Willow wood” print, inspired by William Morris’ willow pattern and crafted in Italy into this vibrant jewel toned silk of the highest quality. The silk features in triangular panels woven into both front and back of the skirt, the neckline, the fluted cuffs and the adjustable tie to the waist, making this dress into a very unique and special piece.
The Marian dress has some beautiful details, including vintage inspired ruched sleeves, and with her adjustable tie and party length hem, she is the perfect dress for the festive season and beyond. A truly forever dress to pull out year after year.
Size and fit: The Marian dress is true to size, and fastens with a long zip at the back. She is gently fitted at the shoulders (bias cut through the back for ease of movement) and looser at the waist as she adjusts with a tie for the perfect fit! I recommend you take your usual size. This dress is slightly shorter than my previous dresses, designed to be party length at 115cm from centre back to hem.
